The first Yandex.Rover robots are being prepared for commercial use in Moscow.
This was unveiled by Yandex.Taxi CEO Daniil Shuleiko via his personal Facebook page – which is also where the header image came from.
This handsome man (the bot) is already preparing to go to one of the shops in Moscow!
The robot will deliver products to an unnamed business center, and people will hand them over to the customer. Yandex noted that they should not be afraid of vandals or thieves – the drone itself is well protected and tracked along the entire route.
This comes almost half a year after Rover was given it’s first real-world tasks, working for Skolkovo. You can read more about this here.
