The Yandex Webmaster tools team has been sending out emails asking users for permission (and reaffirm consent) via an active opt-in to receive “interesting and useful news and offers from the Webmaster team”.
In recent weeks Yandex’s internal teams have ramped up communications with users, with the introduction of the Yandex Webmaster Zen channel – so it stands to reason that they want to give this content the potential to reach as many audience members as possible – and it’s great that they’re doing it through active opt-in, permission-based marketing.
