What Are Yandex Turbo Pages?

Yandex turbo pages are accelerated mobile pages that allow users to download content almost instantly even with slow and poor internet connections.

They can be compared to Google’s AMP project and Baidu MIP.

On mobile Yandex SERPs, they can be identified via the Turbo rocket image. On desktop results, they contain the word Turbo (Турбо) as a pre-fix to the meta description.

The Yandex Turbo rocket logo that can be found on mobile SERPs to indicate the page is a Turbo page.

These can be set up through connecting an RSS feed (1,000 articles), or YML feed if your website is an eCommerce store (30,000) of your content in your Yandex Webmaster Tools account.

In your Yandex Webmaster Tools account, you then need to go to the Turbo Pages section, and click on data sources:

Data Sources can be found on the left-hand menu

Once you have connected to either the RSS or YML feed, you can then edit your Turbo settings.

Earlier this week, we published a step by step guide on setting up Turbo Pages.
