What Is Clickjacking? (Yandex Penalty)

Clickjacking is a violation of the Terms of Service. Clickjacking is an attack that tricks website visitors into clicking web content that they didn’t intend to, or unknowingly clicking a misleading link that opens another website.

In the context of Yandex search, this violation may occur if a website shows deceptive content within a Yandex search engine result so that a user can be manipulated into clicking links and visiting sites not related to the desired search result.

As a result, the website owner will lose out on organic traffic and may even have their Yandex account suspended until they remove or fix the violating content. The worst example of clickjacking in this context would be using deceptive content on a Yandex search engine results page to redirect visitors to landing pages with harmful malware or advertisements.

To avoid such violations, make sure to always provide relevant context on your website in order to avoid the impression that clicking on search result links will take visitors to other websites.
