Yandex has launched the function of recognizing goods in images using computer vision. In addition, a search can find the same or similar on the Internet.
The functionality is very similar to that of Google Lens.
Now in the search by pictures, it is easy to find out where the item you like is on sale.
So, upon request [men’s suit], a whole gallery of suits with prices and store sites will appear. If the item you like is only a part of the image, you can still look for it in stores. To do this, just click on the “Products in the picture” button.
If a person has found a photo of the ideal living room, he can immediately find out where to buy the same or a similar sofa or table.

There are more than 60 billion images in image search. Basically, it is a digitalized world where you can find anything. People search on the Internet for views of unfamiliar cities, diagrams of devices, drawings, greeting cards, and they just draw inspiration from flipping through images. And more and more often they choose products with the help of pictures – there are more of them in search than in any marketplace.
The search for goods in the picture is based on computer vision technologies. With their help, Yandex selects individual objects in the image and determines what they are. For this, neural networks are used, trained on a huge number of examples.
