Yandex Adds Universal Enriched Answers To SERPs

Yandex added universal enriched answers to the search. Their versatility is that they allow you to see information from different sites in one block and go to any of them in one click.

Such responses appear, for example, for inquiries about movies, hotels, and flights related queries.

Universal enriched answers show information from multiple sources at once. For example, for the query [hotels in vladivostok] Yandex will show flights of different airlines – with a price and a schedule.

So a person will be able to quickly solve his problem, and companies offering a product or service will attract customers.

Yandex has been developing rich answer technologies for over 10 years.

Now in Yandex search, there are already more than 20 types of such answers, they are formed on the basis of data from tens of thousands of sites and more than a million companies. Some of them are created automatically, others require partner data.

Maxim Zagrebin, Yandex Head of Search Products, has been quoted as:

Today people are moving from searching for pages on the Internet to searching for a specific offer of a product or service. We see our task in developing a universal search that will find all offers on the Internet and present the results in a user-friendly form. Universal Answers is one form of this search. And we are open to everyone who wants to enrich search results with us.

Any company can integrate its service into universal enriched responses. It’s free, you only need to fulfill certain requirements. These are described in the Connection Terms, which can be found next to the enriched answer. For example, more than 600 cinemas are already showing in an enriched movie poster response, and more than 53,000 sites are connected to the hotel response.

For companies interested in tighter integration, there is also a partner enriched response format. It allows you to show useful information from a specific site in search results.
