Yandex and the international payment system Mastercard announced the creation of an online information program “Yandex Business Academy and Mastercard” for small businesses. The cooperation agreement was signed by the head of Mastercard in Russia Alexey Malinovsky and the commercial director of Yandex Dmitry Kachmar at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2021).
“Yandex Business Academy and Mastercard” will help you get up-to-date knowledge in various areas of business: finance, marketing, online sales, team management and building effective business processes, as well as in certain legal aspects that must be taken into account when running your business. Leading experts are involved in the project both from the organizers and from the invited companies – experts in their field. They will help with advice and share their experience with the participants in the streams. In addition, a number of offline events are planned in the project program with the analysis of current cases of entrepreneurs and the study of the knowledge gained with the mentors of the project.
The Commercial Director of Yandex, Dmitry Kachmar, has been quoted by the Yandex Press Service saying:
Novice businessmen do not always have enough knowledge and skills that are important for the successful development of their business, this is a really difficult path. Therefore, we decided to create a project together with a reliable partner, in which entrepreneurs will be able to get the information they need for successful business running for free and apply it in their projects.
Note that Yandex and Mastercard have been cooperating on an ongoing basis for many years. Last summer Yandex.Kassa, Mastercard and Severstal launched a joint project: using Yandex.Kassa acquiring, Severstal began to accept payments from customers with Mastercard business bank cards.
Yandex.Fuel also provides special payment terms for MasterCard holders.
A few years ago Yandex and Mastercard held a competition among online entrepreneurs, offering the winners 5 million rubles for business development.
