Svetlana Demyashkevich will become the CFO of Yandex. Before joining Yandex, she was CFO of X5 Retail Group for four years.
Vadim Marchuk, Vice President for Corporate Development at Yandex, is moving to the position of Chief Operating Officer.
Svetlana and Vadim will report directly to Tigran Khudaverdyan, Managing Director of Yandex Group of Companies.
The new appointments will take effect on June 1, 2021.
In addition to this, Pavel Vlasov, who previously headed the corporate department of Avito, will become Yandex’s new vice president for corporate development. Its head will be Vadim Marchuk.
Tigran Khudaverdyan, Managing Director of Yandex Group of Companies has been quoted saying:
I am glad that such a strong professional as Svetlana will work with us. Her strategic thinking and extensive leadership experience in the financial sector will be very useful for Yandex in order to maintain high business performance and maintain a disciplined approach to investments.
As for Vadim, both I personally and the board of directors are very grateful to him for his successful work during the transition period after Greg’s departure. Vadim will focus on priority strategic areas, including increasing the value of cross-platform products for users and will also be engaged in the development of new verticals, in particular fintech.
As a reminder, on April 30, Yandex’s financial and operational director Greg Abovsky left the Yandex team, deciding to pursue a career in another company.
