Yandex.Drive Has Covered First 1-Billion Kilometers

Yandex.Drive has driven the first billion kilometers. It consisted of 87 million trips in four cities: Moscow drivers drove the most – 84% of the total mileage, drivers in St. Petersburg accounted for 14%, and 2% – for motorists in Kazan and Sochi.

The service reached this mark in less than three years – Drive began its work in February 2018 in Moscow with a fleet of 750 cars. During this time, car sharing has become the largest in the world, and its fleet has grown more than 20 times – now there are 16,000 cars in it.

Today, in Drive, you can rent a car for a short time to get to work or a store, or you can rent it for a long time by subscription (up to one and a half years) and use it as a personal car.

For business owners, Drive has become a profitable alternative to their own fleet of cars – over the past year (compared to November 2019), the number of corporate users’ trips has increased more than 10 times.

Yandex.Drive is the world’s largest car sharing by the size of its fleet – 16,000 vehicles of various brands, including electric vehicles and cargo minivans.
