Residents of several million-plus cities can now order over-the-counter medicines on Yandex.Market and receive them with delivery in 1-2 hours.
The service was launched in St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Novosibirsk and will soon appear in Kazan. This September, the service launched such an opportunity in Moscow. Marketplace delivers medicines right to your door – and you don’t have to leave your home, even to the nearest pharmacy.
Products can be ordered in the Yandex.Market Express section. Yandex.Delivery helps to deliver them. In each of the cities, where it is now possible to receive medicines in 1–2 hours, about 3,000 medicines are available for ordering. In these regions, the Market works with various pharmacy chains, including Ozerki, Khoroshaya Apteka, Apteka No. 1, Doctor Stoletov, Raduga, Apteka Ot Sklad, and others. The service will expand both the range of products and the list of partners.
Marketplace will continue to develop express delivery of OTC drugs – in the future, it will work in other regions of the country.
The service also plans to participate in pilot projects for the online sale of prescription drugs. The fact that Yandex.Market is going to obtain a pharmaceutical license became known in June.
We also note that the marketplace began showing the terms of courier delivery of OTC drugs last year.
According to a study by Google and Kantar, Russians have begun to trust online sources more when choosing and buying medicines. 49% of shoppers used the internet as their primary tool when making a purchase decision.
