In a small change made to Yandex’s Webmaster Help documentation, they have removed the previously supported (although not recommended) verification method of verifying site rights.
If this is a method that you’ve previously used, you may find verification issues in the coming days and will need to update to verifying through one of the following methods:
- Meta tag on the home page
- HTML file in the root directory
- TXT record in the DNS
On a lighter note, Yandex have also renamed this document “Access rights”, previously “Permissions”.
