Yandex.Taxi Will Allow Passengers To Include Their Own Music & Fastest Fare Search

Yandex will teach Alice other languages

Soon, all Yandex.Taxi customers will be able to include their own tunes from the Yandex.Music service and listen to them through the car’s audio system during the trip. This was told by TASS CEO of the company Daniil Shuleyko.

The idea to combine Yandex.Taxi and Yandex.Music was thought of by the company’s employees two years ago, but was pushed down the development queue.

Shuleiko, via his Facebook page, writes:

The team was tired of it, and on their day off they gathered in the office … to make this project.

In addition to the own music streaming, the Yandex.Taxi application is now able to search for free cars in several tariffs at once. According to the press service, it will be convenient for customers who want to choose increased speed and increased cost, or prefer a more leisurely journey that is a lower cost.

Sometimes there are more free cars of one class in the user’s area than cars of other classes. For example, this second in the service there is an increased demand for the “Economy” tariff. It is possible that a car from the “Comfort” tariff, which is close in cost, the demand for which is lower, will come to you faster: in a minute, while the “Econom” will go for several minutes. But when we are in a hurry, even a couple of minutes of waiting can ruin our mood.

Customers can place several options suitable for them, in the order: “Economy”, “Comfort”, “Comfort +”, “Business”.

After that, the application will show a car that will arrive faster, versus standard service. They plan to launch a new service gradually. At the moment, it is already available for users of the latest Yandex.Taxi application for iOS and Android in 16 cities of Russia and the CIS.
