Yandex Zen has changed the design of cards. Bloggers no longer have to come up with descriptions for articles – now the first paragraph of the publication will be shown on the card in the feed.
The ability to see the beginning of the text will help users better understand what is hidden behind the card. The developers hope that this will increase the readability of the materials.
In addition, it will make it easier for the authors to work on new content easier since it removes an extra stage in the design and publication of the article.
The number of characters in the first paragraph will depend on which screen the user is reading the article on. However, it is recommended to write the first paragraph in a “short and clear” format so that the user can quickly familiarize himself with it in the feed and understand whether it is worth clicking on the card and reading the entire material.
The developers draw your attention to the fact that Zen requirements for the design of cards apply to the first paragraph of the publication. There should be no obscene language, clickbait, prohibited information, etc.
