.Zen & .Maps Release Moscow Sights Project

Yandex.Zen together with Yandex.Maps have prepared a virtual city guide.

On the cards of popular city squares, buildings, parks, short descriptions of these places and links to articles of Zen bloggers will appear. To see all the objects on the map or to see if there are objects “with history” nearby, just enter the query [Zen in Maps] in the Yandex.Maps search.

In total, more than two hundred descriptions of Moscow attractions with links to articles by Zen bloggers will appear in Maps. So, walking around the city, the user can quickly find out the history of a particular place. To do this, you need to click on the object in Yandex.Maps and follow the link to the publication in Zen.

In their publications, bloggers give not just dry historical information. They share non-obvious knowledge. For example, how to find a building that was once a monastery. Or how they live in the house where the entrance to the subway is located. Thanks to this, the project will help to better know the city not only for tourists but also for local residents.

More interesting articles and videos about Moscow can be seen in the “Interesting” section of the Yandex. There will be many fascinating selections from the authors of the channels “About Moscow is not boring” Ilya Negin, “Moscow stories” by Maria Krongauz, “Moscow.Details” by Denis Bychkov and other Zen bloggers.
