Google started blocking Russian Google Ads accounts for displaying advertisements

Google introduced a new search with generative AI

Google started blocking Google Ads accounts that belong to Russian companies for advertising their products and services in other countries.

This situation was encountered by users who advertised through the dedicated click.ru service. The advertising campaigns continued until September, and at the beginning of September, the Google Ads account was blocked without warning. However, shortly before the blocking, Google requested information about which country the company’s business belongs to.

Click.ru clarified that the accounts of many Russian companies that broadcast advertisements of their goods and services to other countries were blocked. At the same time, accounts are unlikely to be unblocked, since Google has changed its advertising policies.
