No Confirmed Update, But Definitely Some Unrest

As far as Yandex algorithm volatility goes, 2021 has gotten off to a relatively calm start.

We’re long overdue the monthly ICS update (with none recorded in February… Unless it slipped through the net of a number of monitoring tools) and very few high periods of volatility to warrant us saying AHA! AN UNCONFIRMED UPDATE!

This being said, from February 18th through to March 2nd, ~20% of SERPs were showing higher than average levels of volatility, which is just under the threshold of previous updates but long enough to suggest something was brewing.

We covered this early (on February 23rd) in this article here.

Thankfully, other webmasters have also noticed fluctuations on Yandex and have been reporting such in the various Russian webmaster forums:

The third day is already storming the issue strongly. A commercial site, issuing every day with new competitors, except, of course, wildbirds, ozone and others.

If you’ve noticed any changes in your Yandex rank tracking over the past couple of weeks, please let us know in the comments.
