Yandex Eats and Delivery Share Audience and Online Order Statistics

At the recent “Food Theme” conference in Moscow, Yandex Eats and Yandex Delivery presented comprehensive statistics, revealing key insights into their user base and market trends.

Growing Audience and Market

Yandex Eats and Delivery collectively serve 15 million users monthly. The food delivery market in Russia is projected to surpass 600 billion rubles by the end of 2024. This growth is driven by a significant increase in orders, with Moscow experiencing a 38% rise in Q4 2023, while other regions saw over 60% growth.

User Demographics and Preferences

A substantial portion of the user base, 71%, is under 35 years old. When selecting restaurants, users prioritize price and discounts, with 25% of orders including some form of discount. Reviews (58%), photos (38%), and curated lists (29%) also play crucial roles in decision-making.

Order Behavior and Influencing Factors

Delivery speed is a key factor for users, with peak ordering times identified as well. Promotions have a noticeable impact on increasing order volumes. Yandex plans to leverage its broader ecosystem, including Yandex Go and Yandex Market, to attract new users who have not yet utilized their food delivery services.

Strategic Plans

Yandex aims to continue expanding its audience by integrating services across its ecosystem, enhancing user experience through strategic initiatives based on these insights.
