Possible Algorithm Update October 25/26 2020

Yandex Webmaster introduced a new tool to check brocken links

Following a potential algorithm update on October 22nd, and a rumoured ICS update on October 23rd, Yandex Webmasters have begun to report major traffic changes on their websites on and around October 25th/26th.

It’s likely that rather than this being a fresh update, it could more likely be the result of the October 22nd and 23rd changes rolling out and the changes reflecting in ranking positions.

The Forum Chatter

Below are comments made by webmasters on various forums.

Dear colleagues, today I noticed a sharp drop in the positions of the 6 year old site. The site for tourism is a service. Judging by the assessment of the issue, the issue itself seemed to be skewed, its sausage today is not childish. Do you see something similar with your sites? Perhaps another algorithm update or a new Yandex whip system?

I confirm that the traffic dropped by about 20-25%.

A couple of days there are strong fluctuations – first at +, now at – decent. Of course, there are no announcements from Yandex.
