Yandex algorithm updates, much like Google’s, are ongoing and every now and again some of the daily tweaks and changes are more noticeable and substantial than others.

Following the webmaster chatter around the noticed October changes (one of which correlates with a seemingly lunar rhythm of the ICS metric updating), webmasters are reporting similar changes and ranking fluctuations across the first few days of November.

Webmaster Forum Chatter

Below are examples of webmaster reporting fluctuations, and their thoughts, around this potential update.

Yes, it has been pulling for more than a week as well as different topics: auto parts (RF), food delivery (Moscow) … Directly in a hard minus 20-30, while there are pages that I have not touched for a long time, then some of the keys are back in plus, then vice versa change places (dropped out – return, returned – drop out).

It is as if something is being tested, as usual before something new, maybe an algorithm, or maybe an addition (like Palekh was screwed on).

Very strong fluctuations in Moscow time and St. Petersburg on a commercial site, some rankings up, some rankings down, twist!

Either a rollback was made today from yesterday’s issue, or HZ how to explain it.

I changed the texts in the store on the main page and a couple of categories. I changed it on the main page, threw it for a re-bypass, the robot bypassed, and out of interest I decided to check, all of a sudden, the text was taken into account and I actually look at a piece of text, I’m on the first line, okay there are all sorts of news in the index, but so that the store is so fast … And it’s not bad so it raised me to the TOP 10, today, to celebrate, I remove the positions of the site and see again a strong rollback, I think, well, everything, he did not like the text, he found what to **** … and dropped it to the TOP 20. But after checking a couple of requests with my hands through incognito, I found that the old text is ranked, how is it?
