Webmaster Tools Introduces Active Key Page Monitoring

Yandex Webmaster Tools has begun to automatically add monitoring to important website pages based on data being received by the platform.

You can find the new tool here, and as well as taking the tools recommendations you can choose to track up to 100 URLs.

You can add up to 100 pages to the tool’s new tracking feature.

You can also find a list of the top 3,000 pages of the website, that rank in the top 50 (on average), can also be found on the page statistics page.

What does the monitoring track?

The monitoring tool tracks and monitors changes for the below page “metrics”:

  • Title tag
  • Meta description
  • Last crawl date
  • Last HTTP response code (to the crawler)
  • Snapshot of indexed page content (what Yandex sees/saw)
  • Page inclusion status (in search results)
  • The page’s canonical and canonical chosen by Yandex

The webmaster can enable or disable alerts for each of these settings in the notification settings. But why would you disable the alerts?
