The Yandex.Dialogs team has pushed changes that have significantly reduced the time it takes to publish new skills, cutting the time from hours to ~10 minutes.
The change, perhaps in correlation with the increase in home-working and Alice enabled devices has been welcomed by the Alice skill development community.
Anyone (company or individual) can produce skills for Alice within Yandex.Cloud for free, and in February 2020 Dialogs made funds available for developers to gain project support via a special request form within the Alice skill catalog.
To date, 45 million users ask Alice more than a billion requests per month.
Third-party voice applications make up a significant part of Alice’s capabilities. On the Yandex.Dialog platform, developers have already created more than 2 thousand of such applications, and donations will contribute to the growth of their number.
