Yandex Speeds Up Metrica Code

The service team has improved the code in such a way that it began to work faster even on the most “heavy” and complex resources. And even if additional features are connected on the counter – Webvisor, e-commerce or content analytics. In this case, you do not need to reinstall the counter on the site.

In addition to the fact that the Metrica code now does not affect the site loading speed in any way, the same applies to Webvisor – it now records visits completely “in the background” and does not affect the work of even the most difficult pages. And the quality of recordings remains consistently high.

To develop this, the developers of Metrica completely rewrote the counter code itself: now the entire assembly that is uploaded to the site weighs about 45% less.

The counter does not just load faster: now it is able to record more short visits to the site, which previously simply did not have time to be recorded in the reports – since by the end of the super-short visit, the counter was not loaded yet. As a result, the statistics will become even more complete.

The fast code is connected automatically only if the current version of the counter is installed on the site. Those who have an outdated version of the code are advised to replace it with an up-to-date one – it is available in the counter settings.
